Alongside my work as a Creative Director, I have spent the past few years developing a personal art practice through visual engineering. The technology may be new, but the thinking behind it comes from more than two decades of working across fashion, beauty, luxury and editorial. Research comes first. Concept and direction follow. The tools allow me to take an idea further, even when what we are looking at has never existed.
Digital Original recently invited me to reflect on that journey. What began as an interview became an opportunity to consider how the different parts of my practice have come together, why I use the term visual engineering, what authorship means when working with AI, and why human instinct remains central to the act of making.
